Are you confused about your new ChatGPT+ interface? Here is the explanation....
All-in-one experience
If you, like us, are a frequent user of licensed ChatGPT+, you'll notice the interface has changed a few days ago when for most users (the rest will get it shortly). It was introduced by Sam Altman at OpenAIs big dev-day event. And yes, ChatGPT has become much smarter; now, you don't need to think hard before you start a chat about what problem you aim to solve. Before, you had to decide if you wanted to analyze data or create an image. Now, the 'ChatGPT 4' setting in the top right-hand corner gives you an all-in-one experience - so just get started right away. "Plugins", however, remain a separate story - to access those, use the dropdown menu.
More and faster
More power and more input capacity: OpenAI has upgraded the engine room of ChatGPT to GPT-4 turbo, but most importantly, the days of being cautious about how much information you feed ChatGPT are over. Previously, you could upload around 10-20 pages, and often that was too much. Now, you can input the equivalent of 300 pages (128,000 tokens vs. 8,000 before). Why is this important? You can now upload large PDF documents or data files and work with them, just to give an example.
Deeper
ChatGPT now comprehends events up until April 2023. While you've been able to interact with real-time events through the 'Bing browsing' function for a while, ChatGPT+ can now understand events up until April 2023, even without having to look it up in real-time—a significant improvement.
Last but not least—a teaser: ChatGPT+ now comes with "GPTs", and soon a GPT store. Now non-techs can set up their own apps (GPTs) and load it with own material - it is a groundbreaking chage to how we will be working with ChatGPT - stay tuned for more on that topic...
